North East Energy Futures CIC works with households in the North East who have been offered help with their home energy and have not taken it up, or have started and got stuck.
We run plain English sessions, we follow up, we point people to official help, and we record what stopped them. We also run sessions in schools and colleges on the careers retrofit and renewables are creating.
Why this gap exists
Advice services help people who contact them. The people we work with never make contact. That makes them invisible to the services designed to reach them.
We are not a replacement for National Energy Action or Citizens Advice. We refer to them. We work the end they cannot see.

Our role is to reach the households and young people that existing advice and referral routes miss, then hand them on to trusted official support.

Where we are
We are a new organisation and we have not delivered yet. We are asking for the infrastructure to prove this properly from the first session rather than deliver twenty sessions and have nothing an evaluator would accept.
