North East Energy Futures CIC aims to work through proposed commissioned programmes with households in the North East who have been offered help with their home energy and have not taken it up, or have started and got stuck.
NEEF is early stage. Funding & Application Support is our current live paid service. Energy Awareness Workshops, Community Engagement Delivery, Project Coordination, Impact Reporting and Green Careers Sessions are developed concepts, not yet launched or proven. Proposed commissioned programmes would offer plain English sessions, follow-up, official signposting and barriers recording, alongside school and college sessions on retrofit and renewables careers. All session numbers, outputs and reach below are proposed targets, not delivered results or guaranteed programmes.
Why this gap exists
Advice services help people who contact them. The households our proposed programmes aim to reach may never make contact. That makes them invisible to the services designed to reach them.
We complement National Energy Action and Citizens Advice. Our proposed programmes would signpost to them and aim to reach people who have not accessed their services.
Invisible to services
Our proposed role is to reach the households and young people that existing advice and referral routes miss, then hand them on to trusted official support.

£8,800
This £8,800 indicative proposed budget is not an award or secured funding. It would include £4,000 for evidence, accessibility and safeguarding infrastructure, with the remainder for proposed delivery, follow-up and reporting, subject to a separately agreed commissioned proposal.
Proposed funder reporting
The proposed programme would produce a published North East barriers report showing why households are not taking up energy support in this region.
The proposed report would be free to read and cite, with attribution to the commissioning funder.
