Our work
Our work is built around two pillars
The two first-phase practical delivery pillars support five community benefit themes: Energy Awareness, Warmer Homes, Lower Bills, Green Skills and Community Benefit.
Household Energy Understanding
Proposed commissioned local sessions would explain home energy in everyday words, help people work out where to go next, and include a follow-up call six weeks later. Warmer homes and lower bills are what we are aiming for.
Green Skills and Education
Proposed commissioned sessions in schools and colleges would explore the jobs that retrofit, renewables and energy efficiency are creating in the North East.

What North East Energy Futures CIC does
NEEF is early stage. Our live paid service is Funding & Application Support for businesses, charities, CICs and community organisations.
Energy Awareness Workshops, Community Engagement Delivery, Project Coordination, Impact Reporting and Green Careers Sessions are developed concepts, not yet launched or proven; the activities below describe proposed commissioned programmes, not guaranteed delivery.
That includes energy awareness, warmer homes, lower bills, retrofit, renewables, support routes, green skills and community benefit.
We work to improve community understanding, build trust, support safe signposting and help people see how the energy transition can create practical benefit across the North East.

Community Energy Barriers Report
