Community Energy Access

Helping communities understand and access trusted energy support routes.

North East Energy Futures CIC does not replace official warm homes advice, home assessment, funding or installation routes.

Our role is to help communities understand those routes more clearly.

We support awareness, local trust, community engagement and safe signposting so residents, tenants, landlords, schools and community groups can better understand what help may exist and where to go next.

Where people need tailored technical advice, funding guidance, home assessments or installation support, we signpost to recognised official, public or charitable support routes where appropriate.

Why this matters

Many people do not take action because the process feels unclear, the market feels difficult to trust or they do not know what support may be available.

NEEF helps close that gap by making information clearer, repeating key messages in plain English and working with communities at a pace people can understand.

What this can include

Community awareness sessions

Plain English warm homes explainers

Energy bills awareness

Signposting to official support routes

Resident listening

Local access and trust barriers reporting

Community partner engagement

School and community education
